ACHNE Discussion Board

As an ACHNE member you are automatically subscribed to the ACHNE discussion lists.  You may access your list subscriptions by logging into the ACHNE Members Only area.

To communicate with ACHNE-L you may send an email to achne-l@lists.achne.resourcenter.net or access the online discussion to view archived messages.  You must be a member of the list in order to send a message or access the online area.

Listserv Etiquette (often referred to as "netiquette")

Thank you for choosing to participate in the ACHNE-L: We hope that you find this listserv rewarding, educational and easy to use.

Rules and conditions – Please:

1. Include your name and contact information on messages sent to the listserv.

2. Do not clutter the inboxes of subscribers with unnecessary and/or inappropriate e-mails. When you hit the Reply button, the messages get sent to all subscribers.

a. Think carefully whether a response should be forwarded directly to the sender or sent to all subscribers.

b. If you request a response, please consider asking that responses be sent directly to you rather than to the entire list.

c. Reply to the sender only (not all subscribers) if your message contains sensitive information, personal material, or large attachments. Responses such as, "Thank you," or, "Please send me more information about this," should be sent directly to the sender.

3. Disable listserv mail delivery when you are not reading e-mails for an extended period (such as when you are on trips, vacation, or sabbatical). This will keep your mailbox from filling up with unread e-mails and will keep other listserv subscribers from getting your "out-of-office" message when you are away.

4. Be courteous. Refrain from sending messages that may be construed as defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal.

5. Do not send copyrighted material without permission of the owner of the copyright.

6. Make sure that the subject line reflects the topic of your message

7. If you prefer to read a summary of questions and responses posted to a list serve rather than receive them individually, arrange for the "DIGEST" option. Individual subscribers need to request this function directly for each list serve to which they are subscribed in the members area of the website.
